Preps

I have made all the preps for the trip sans burning musical compact discs for the compact disc player in the "Phinest" Buick.  Yes, Munch and I will be cruising along the Mississippi River in a legit, gold, Buick Century that in fact was formerly owned by my Grandma, RIP.

Of course Grandma had no need for an AUX Input to play an MP3 Player, so I'm still stuck in the 90s when it comes to auto audio options.  Apparently the discounted CD-Rs I bought were discounted for a reason because I'm succesffully burning playlists at a rate of 1 in every 8 attempts, while my 8G IPOD sits uselessly in my house.

At any rate, I'm throwing together several predictable playlists.  Plenty of Phish, Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, Allmans and others mixed with New Orleans artists like Prof. Longhair, Dr. John, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Galactic, and Little Baby Jacksy's Clarinet Quartet...I'm really looking forward to seeing that band.  I heard they do a sick swing version of the Simon and Garfunkel classic Bridge Over Troubled Darnold.

Counting down the hours at work and mentally preparing myself for a 14 hour cross country excursion with a guy that has already started annoying me.

Jacksy, I can't wait to Fais do do on your face.
